Caleb Barnett's wish comes true as new Genie in Broadway's 'Aladdin'
NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Few characters are as beloved, as instantly recognizable, or as impossible to forget as the Genie in "Aladdin," and even fewer actors will ever get the chance to make him their own.
"Aladdin," the hit musical on Broadway, grants joy, smiles and laughter to audiences night after night.
While the Genie is usually the one granting those wishes, for one actor, Caleb Barnett, his wish to be the next Genie just came true.
Entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo sat down with Barnett to talk about landing the role of a lifetime.
Barnett will be performing alongside Rodney Ingram, who just stepped into the role of Aladdin earlier this year. Let's just say the show has opened up a whole new world for him and for his wife, Sonia Monroy.
